Vintage pens hunting in Bangkok 2014

Vintage Pens hunting in Bangkok 2014

This afternoon, I went out for my hunt for vintage fountain pens in Bangkok. Before I start, I goggle as well as asked my hotel staff where are places where one can find fountain pens. After some checking, I was told at Fortune Town opposite Rama IX.

I have to take a BTS to Asok station and then changed to the MRT to Rama IX. Finally, when I reached there, I have to walk floor by floor to look for the shop that sells pen. After walking almost the entire building, I have finally found the shop.

I have manged to find some NOS Parker 75 and 45 from the shop. I remember meeting a collector Mr. Leong 20 years ago who is the nos 1 collector of Parker 75 in Singapore. At that time, my focus were mainly the early Parker Eyedropper from the 1900s and the early Duofold from the 1920s and Vacumatic from the 1930s etc

Even though I am not focusing solely on the Parker 75, I have managed to form a small collection of Parker 75s consisting of the Black lacquer, the Sterling Silver, the Queen Elizabeth limited edition, and now these two.

It is always a joy to be able to find the vintge items that I like when working and living at different countries as it gives me good memories of the places I visited, I worked and stayed.
