Parker 51 (1948)

Parker 51

I was lucky to find a special set in very nice condition.  This is a 1948 Parker 51 Pen and Pencil Set with silver caps.

Some of the neat things about this set:
 ·      It has Sterling Silver Caps.  The imprint shows in the pictures, they are in good shape.
·       It was made in the last quarter of 1948.  (See the picture with the tiny 8 on the barrel.)  This makes it one of the last 51 Vacumatics made, from ‘49’ on, the 51’s were aerometric.
·       A fine nib leaning toward medium..
·       A Blue Diamond clip even though this clip was discontinued in 1947, some were left over and used in 1948.  This  was the last year “Parker” was written on the clip.
·       Gold wash on the clutch

Parker 45 Harlequin (1981) from Thailand Bangkok

Parker 45 Harlequin circlet pattern (1981)

Parker 45 was produced from 1960-2008. The rarer and in very good condition Parker 45 Harlequin circlet
pattern stainless steel fountain pen with medium nib.
Date marked UI the 4th quarter 1981.  The pen has been hardly used and in my view would rate as a collector’s
item.  Fitted with a cartridge and in One day

Parker 45 coronet (1970)

Parker 45 coronet 1970

Parker 45 coronet in my opinion is the modern version of the classic. Even though the design is the same as the other Parker 45, the metallic colour plus matte finishes give the pen the ultra modern look (even though the pen is from the 1970). I am lucky to find one in new old stock condition.

Montblanc Carreras fountain pen

Went our oen hunting over the weekend.

After some searching, infinally bought this
The year 1970 Montblanc has reached an agreement with the legendary sports car maker Porsche and fruit of this fact was born in 1971 Montblanc Carrera model in honor of that model Porsche.

Here we can see the pick of Montblanc crowning the cap. The main key features is the clip, which has a “sport” design, makes a modern and attractive fountain pen for the generation.

The bottom part of the body also has the logo company, the white star on the yellow intense color made in injected plastic.

Parker 45 Fountain pens

Parker 45

The Parker "45" as my first vintage fountain pen always has a special meaning for me. It was initially a low-priced pen with steel nib, but it has eventually made in many colours, and finishes and also with 10k and 14k gold nibs and became one of Parker's great survivors. Parker always tried to fill the demands for both expensive and economy line pens

Parker 45 together with Parker 75. Note that the center portion for Parker 45 is much fatter.

The other one

There are Parker 45 fountain pens that were fitted with steel nibs and the gold nips are the more collectible one that write smoother too.

Parker 75 & Parker 45 Fountain pens

The Parker 75

The Parker 75 is one of the most iconic and user friendly fountain pen. I first saw it when I was in primary 3, when I saw one of my classmates using it!

The Parker 45

My first fountain pen is a Parker 45. It comes with both a steel and a gold nib. Many has thought that all gold nips are in 14k, but there are some exceptions..

There is a 10k gold nib for the Parker 45 as below:

I guess for the other models, there are the 14nk nib
