1960s MONTBLANC 32 Black Resin 14K 585 Gold Wing Nib Piston Fountain Pen

The Montblanc 32, were the start of the new era pens in the early 60's, unlike the 3xx number series, these pens were modern, elongated, with sharp edges, more reliable and with focus on functionality. The pen is also one of the first with specifically enclosed large wing nib, suspended over an ebonite feeder. The Precious Black Resin, the signature material of Montblanc, is a specially tempered plastic which gives the pen a unique shine and gloss but also a protection, as this material is hard to scratch or damage. A pen made out of black resin will always shine like new. The pen has a unique feeding system, very reliable with a constant and even ink flow. The piston is smooth and takes a considerable amount of ink. The pen is in mint condition, no scratches, no gold ware off and no cracks. Beautiful blue ink window under the blue tread, and the signature Montblanc star located on both turning knob and cap.

My vintage Parker 75 collection is slowly growing. This is a Vintage Parker 75 Stainless steel from Beirut. When one takes a look, one tends to neglect this Parker pen. However, the Stainless steel version of Parker 75 is very rare when compare to the silver ones.

Parker 45 from Bangkok Chinatown

I visited Chinatown in Bangkok this afternoon. After lunch, we walked around the street looking at the area and came across an old shop selling watches and some old pens.

I saw some new old stocks Parker 45 on the old shelf  and I bought one with 14k gold nip at Baht 1700 (US$49). Great treasure hunt! The Parker 45 will always have a special place in my heart as it is my first fountain pen (the one that I dropped damaged and found back many years later)

Vintage Parker 75 "MALACHITE GREEN" lacquer fountain pen from Beirut Lebanon

VINTAGE PARKER 75 "MALACHITE GREEN" FOUNTAIN PEN   Made in France.

Just found another Parker lacquer 75 all the way from Beirut Lebanon. This pattern, not very usual to find, is one of the Laque series French Parker 75 pens and was shortly produced from 1979 to 1983. I am building up my collection of 75 slowly..

Just found a brand new old stock Parker 75 custom lacquer in blue in color with its box and brochure and it is fitted with a medium nib in size from Lih Tah, who is the Authority of Parker 75!

This is an exceptional find and will truly fit in nicely with the other Parker 75s

One of the reason for my love of the Parker 75 is the colours and varieties! Moreover, these pens are easy to maintain as the pump and nibs can be easily replaced. Many of the Parker 75 were made in precious materials such as silver, and has the much desired designs as well as the art of lacquer.

I remember one collector from Singapore Mr. Leong, who has a fantastic collection of Parker 75!

Parker U.K. Duofold

The Parker UK Duofold

The Parker Dufold UK version are often being neglected by collectors. Parker kept the Duofold name alive longer in the UK and Europe than in the USA.  Some of the sturdiest, best writing vintage pens around are the English and Danish made Aerometric-filling Duofolds from the '50s and '60s. It comes in a varieties of colours and sizes. Colors included black, blue, red, brown and the green.  All were equipped with conventional 14K gold nibs, many of which are wider and more flexible than their US-made contemporaries, though tending to have a softer feel. 

Parker Lacquer Pens from the 1980s.

The Parker Lacquer pens from the 1980s. The first one I got was the black where I bought it in the late 1980s at Lin Kwong shop at Singapore Parkway parade. I was torn between getting a black Montblanc or this black Parker lacquer fountain. In the end, I have chosen Parker as Monthblanc pen was made of plastic while the Parker is made with metal and coated with lacquer.

The Challenger was phased out around 1941 and i was fortunate to be able to find a tray of NOS challenger during the late 1980s- early 90s. All these pens pumps have been repaired by the late Mr. Yeo, who in the past also repaired our late SM Mr. Lee Kwan Yew's fountain pens.

Parker 51 from Hong Kong

The Parker 51 were popular in the 1950-60s. Many hero fountain pens modelled its design after the Parker 51.
